What comes back
Criterion by criterion
Presentation, mathematical communication, personal engagement, reflection and use of mathematics, each in turn, pointing at the places in the draft that are working and the ones that are not.
What to change first
An ordered list, cheapest high-value changes at the top, because there is a deadline.
What to leave alone
Students often rewrite the part that was already working. The review says which parts those are.
How it works
- Pay on Gumroad. The receipt and the download explain what to send.
- Email the draft as a PDF or Word file to hello@ksmaths.com, from the address you paid with, with "IA review" in the subject line. Say AA or AI, SL or HL, and when it is due.
- Get the review within 48 hours of the reply confirming your draft arrived. Written feedback only: no calls and no meetings.
If the student is under 18, a parent buys the review and the email thread is with the parent. Keith does not review work from students at his own school.
Academic integrity
This is feedback, never writing. The review never writes any part of the IA, never supplies data, results, graphs or calculations, and never predicts a grade; no one can honestly promise one. The work must be entirely the student's own. Tell your teacher you had outside feedback on the draft, as your school's academic integrity policy may require, and keep the review in case anyone asks to see it.
Who reads it
Keith Spencer: Head of Mathematics and IB Diploma Coordinator at an international school, with thirty years of teaching maths. He is not an IB examiner or moderator, and the review is not marking: it is a careful second reader who knows what the criteria ask for.
Before you buy, the maths IA guides and the aim checker answer the common questions, and are open to everyone.
Money back if it is not useful
If the review does not help, reply to it within 30 days and say so, and the full $99 is refunded. The feedback is guaranteed; the mark never is.
Or get it with the IB Diploma plan
Until Sunday 25 October, 23:59 Bangkok time (16:59 UTC): any IB Diploma plan includes one maths IA draft review. The plan is $99 for 12 months and opens every Diploma lesson, AA and AI, SL and HL. After paying, email the draft to hello@ksmaths.com with "IA review (Diploma plan)" in the subject line; your receipt says how. The offer ends at that time and is not extended.
