Preparing mathematics for inspection

When an inspection judges attainment and progress in mathematics, a department needs three things it can show: consistent teaching, assessment that is marked the same way in every class, and evidence of what students can do. KS Maths gives teachers ready-made material for all three.

What a maths department gets

Consistent lessons

423 lessons, MYP Year 7 to the IB Diploma, each with a timed plan, worked answers and the common misconceptions. Every class in a year group can be taught from the same page.

Assessment you can moderate

Six criterion A to D tasks for every MYP unit, with markschemes and exemplars, so two teachers mark the same work the same way and the department has comparable evidence.

Progress you can see

The Skill Tree shows which earlier ideas each lesson builds on, so gaps can be traced back and closed before the Diploma.

What this is, and what it is not

  • Resources and training material for your teachers. KS Maths does not teach your students.
  • It cannot promise an inspection judgement, and nobody honest can. What it can do is take the planning and the assessment writing off your teachers.
  • Independent material, not affiliated with KHDA, DSIB or the International Baccalaureate.

Students can open the first lesson of every unit free, so you can try it with a class this week. See what the school licence includes.
